Personality:
Saji is described as a gentle person with a submissive personality. Although he's a bit of a pushover by nature, he is a kind hearted person that tries hard at what he can do for the ones important to him in his life.

Background:
Saji is a resident of Japan; a senior high school student studying aerospace engineering. He is often pushed around by his overbearing friend and classmate Louise Halevy. He and his sister Kinue live in an apartment right next door to that Setsuna F. Seiei, who Saji often tries to socialize with. He is unaware of Setsuna’s status as a Gundam Meister in Celestial Being. When Celestial Being was introduced in the beginning of the series, Saji wondered about it’s purpose and whether or not Celestial Being will be able to bring peace or cause more war and destruction. It has affected him in several ways that had him feel more conflicted from the time period given. Saji and Kinue had been orphaned prior to the start of the series.
